First Contact!
« on: August 24, 2007, 02:10:02 pm »
"First Contact" is the name of a Star Trek Movie...

Actually we make "First Contact" everyday!  For some, today will be the first contact with their future husband or wife!  Wow!  Or the first contact that leads to a new job, business or even a new life or life style!

Perhaps the first contact that leads to joy or happiness for eternity!

Today you are reading first contact because you want to know more about who or what is aLanTait.com (or maybe aLanTait.Net!) or just wanting to learn about aLan Tait, Lan the guy behind this...

Well, I am just a guy, I came to the Philippines about the time of EDSA and fell in love!  In love with a Bhabes, a beautiful Filipina, but also with the Philippines.  Sadly my wife, Bhabes, died in a 1994 car crash... but my love for the Philippines grows stronger every day (do Filipinos know they have the best place in the world to live?).

Today my goal is a simple one, to help Filipinos (Pinoy and Pinay), to make a better life right here ~ so they can enjoy the wonderful land they were born to!  I would love to someday become a Filipino - is it possible?  I would be proud to have a Philippine Passport ~ what about you?

I also have a number of "Good Hates!"  Did you know that it is good to hate?

(Psa 97:10 NASB)  Hate evil, you who love the LORD, Who preserves the souls of His godly ones; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

(Prov 8:12-13 NASB)  "I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, And I find knowledge and discretion. {13} "The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way, And the perverted mouth, I hate.

(Amos 5:15a NASB)  Hate evil, love good, And establish justice in the gate!

(Psa 119:113 NASB)  I hate those who are double-minded, But I love Thy law.

(Psa 119:163 NASB)  I hate and despise falsehood, But I love Thy law.

(Eccl 3:1-8 NASB)  There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven-- ... {8} A time to love, and a time to hate; A time for war, and a time for peace.

This is but a small sample of Bible verses that say we are to have a good hatred.  We are not to hate people - the Bible never says that.  We are to hate some of that actions that people do?

Do we hate graft and corruption so much that we are willing to remove them from our own lives?

Do we hate ill gotten gains so much that we prevent ourselves from accepting anything that is not right?

If the checker gives us back an extra P500 bill to be take it?  Or do we return it because we hate lies and falsehood.

I'm excited because I hear more and more young people saying that graft and corruption MUST END WITH THEM!  Meaning that they will not take part in it!

We need to develop the "Good Hate" so that it becomes a force for change!  I hate that my neighbors cannot earn enough money to buy what their family needs.  I hate that college girls are prostituting themselves just so that they can pay for their schooling to help their families.

I hate the injustice that our people endure.  You may argue the point about the plight of "our" people, but I consider myself Pinoy!  As one Filipino Governer introduced me, "...our brother with a brown Filipino Heart!"  It touched me deeply!  I love the Philippines, do you?

If you asked me my motto I would tell you what I call the "Universal Purpose":

"To make God famous in a transactional universe!"

Maybe in time I will reveal more about what that means, but for now here is a clue from what Yeshua the Messiah said the Bible...

(Mark 12:30-31 NIV)  Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' {31} The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."
